Ms. Helen Yane receives a prestigious Lilly Endowment Teacher Creativity Fellowship Grant

Congratulations to Ms. Helen Yane!

Oldenburg Academy proudly congratulates Ms. Helen Yane on receiving a prestigious Lilly Endowment Teacher Creativity Fellowship Grant for her project, “Seeking Sustainability: A Tour of Slovenia’s Green Initiatives and Tourist Farm Economy.” This program supports Indiana K-12 educators by providing resources for meaningful renewal, believing that through exploration and reflection, educators can inspire innovative teaching and creative thinking in their students.

Ms. Yane’s plans to visit Slovenia, a global leader in sustainability, include touring green initiatives, meeting with local school leaders, hiking in national parks and gardens, and engaging in tourist farm operations. This extraordinary learning experience aligns beautifully with Ms. Yane’s professional and personal goals and furthers Oldenburg Academy’s mission to promote environmental stewardship and innovative education.
